Walkathon is More Important Than Ever
This year, more than ever, Walkathon will play a critical role in maintaining programs that impact our students
and teachers at Noddin Elementary School. State Budget Cuts have forced Union School District to make some difficult decisions
that will potentially eliminate staffing and services for the children at our school. Compounding the budget cuts is the reality
that fundraising in the current economic environment will be challenging—but absolutely vital—if we are to keep
the programs like music, Art Vistas, and clay, that have enriched our children’s learning experience
in past years. It is the Walkathon that has allowed Noddin H&SC to fund these enrichment programs, along with library
books, computers and technology support, classroom supplies, field trips, homework center and much more.
So, what can you do to help?
1. Save the date: Saturday, October 10; 9am-2pm
2. Become a sponsor or refer a corporate sponsor (see details below)
3. Join the Walkathon committee (contact Diane Black)
4. Beginning Sept 17, help your child(ren) collect pledges
5. Volunteer to work a shift at the Walkathon
6. BE THERE!! Spend the day with your child(ren).
We know that the current economy makes charitable giving less of a priority for many families. However, we
hope you will continue to support your child’s neighborhood school, the core of your family’s future.

Space at the Platinum Sponsor table the day of the event; name/logo on back of t-shirts (400+ distributed); banner
displayed the day of the event; recognition in all event materials; full page ad published in the Noddin H&SC directory
(600+ distributed)
Gold ($500 - $999): Name/logo on back of t-shirts (400+ distributed); banner displayed the day
of the event; recognition in all event materials; half-page ad published in the Noddin H&SC directory (600+ distributed)
Silver ($250 - $499): Name/logo on back of t-shirts (400+ distributed); banner displayed the day of the
