The Garden Club started in the spring of 2010 and has grown tremendously in a short period of time. We now donate fresh vegetables and fruit to Second Harvest and the students know that the community service of this club is helping local families. Students meet during lunchtime on designated days to prepare the soil, plant and harvest the food.
This parent-run club is turning our limited soil areas into viable working planting space. Students enjoy watching the plants grow and learn so much in this process. This program also runs during the summer months and is spear-headed by the passion of parent and student volunteerism. All gardening supplies are generously provided by the Noddin Home & School Club.
